Position Overview​

​

The KUSUM Program Specialist role offers an opportunity to contribute to agricultural solar power transformation through implementation of agri-PV and PM Kusum pilot projects. The position focuses on technical feasibility assessment, stakeholder coordination, and policy advocacy.

Key Responsibilities

​​

The selected intern will engage in the following areas:

Technical Implementation

Support tendering process and coordinate with bidders

Identify suitable substations and assess feasibility

Prepare technical reports and documentation

Support connectivity and implementation

Policy and Regulatory

Aid in policy advocacy initiatives

Support regulatory compliance

Assist in PPA execution and tariff negotiations

Coordinate with DISCOMs for approvals

Impact Assessment

Conduct research and prepare case studies

Document project outcomes and learnings

Maintain project documentation

Prepare progress reports and assessments

Qualifications and Requirements

Educational Background

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field

Strong academic focus on power systems

Understanding of agricultural power supply

Technical Knowledge

Experience in power sector/renewable energy

Expertise in grid infrastructure and solar systems

Experience in policy advocacy

Knowledge of agricultural power requirements

Essential Qualities

Strong technical and analytical abilities

Excellent documentation skills

Understanding of regulatory frameworks

Commitment to rural development

Ability to work with diverse stakeholders

Salary:  4,20,000 INR to 6,00,000 INR CTC Per annum
