About the organisation:
Prajayatna is a development initiative working towards improving the quality of education of 'all' children in Government schools and Anganwadis and is presently active in the three states of Karnataka, Uttar Pradesh and Jharkhand. We work with local communities and teachers in creating well-governed and well-run Government schools and Anganwadis and in ensuring the delivery of quality education for all children through these institutions and thereby bringing about a systemic change in the policy, structures and practices of the education system at large.
About the Project:
Prajayatna, working in the field of foundational learning needs a technical coordinator with a special focus on Early childhood Care and Education. The project is designed for enhancing learning levels of children attending the anganwadi and government primary schools by empowering the Anganwadi/school teachers to facilitate an inclusive and play-based learning pedagogy. All the government Anganwadis and primary schools in Lohardaga district of Jharkhand will be developed to ensure quality foundational education for all children. The project duration is expected to be around 3 years.
Responsibilities:
· Build the early education programme in the anganwadis of Lohardaga districts in Jharkhand.
· Be capable of curriculum planning, designing teaching learning strategies, designing childhood environments,
· Building the capacity of team members in the context of foundational learning, including ECCE and initial school years.
· Building capacity of the Department supervisors who will be working on the field directly working with the anganwadi teachers and helpers.
· Develop an understanding of the various stakeholders
· Be able to write and document the progress of the programme.

Required Qualification& Experience:
· Candidate must have an M.A. (Edu/Dev), M.S.W, M.Sc. (ECE).
· Persons having a minimum of 2 years and above of relevant experience will be preferred. Relevant experience of working with child development and education will be preferable. Having worked with children directly will be an added advantage.
· Persons from Jharkhand State or willingness to relocate is required.
· Must be willing to learn
· Must be resourceful and creative with an ability to design new learning strategies
· Communication skills – Hindi is compulsory (both spoken and written) alongwith english
· Must be proficient with technology
