The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced dynamic consulting professional/strategic thinker who has worked in the CSR and/or social sector. The individual will be responsible for managing overall delivery of a program with a large corporate foundation aimed to develop and deploy MEL systems for multiple programs. The professional must have experience in a leadership position and should have worked in a multi-stakeholder environment. The role will include working closely with the M&E Head and Program Heads, and will be responsible for CSR reporting, technical delivery, stakeholder management, timely delivery and quality assurance.
The External Consultant will be responsible for:
Program Management
Effectively managing the project, leading timely delivery within the budget, and achieving project outcomes
Leading the project and taking accountability of project closure and client satisfaction.
Foreseeing internal and external risks, creating mitigation strategies, and planning for contingency.
Problem solving & Study design
Engaging with the client - program heads, and communities effectively to understand the programs thoroughly, their objective, relevant output, outcome, and impact indicators for each
Reviewing, streamlining and operationalising the existing MEL system
Building capacity of relevant stakeholders to operationalise the MEL system
Leading data collection and undertaking analysis and reporting.
Client Engagement
Leading client engagement through relationship building, active listening and providing strategic inputs which align with their vision of high impact on the ground and the ecosystem.
Co-creating solutions to meet client’s current and future needs and work closely with key stakeholders.
Influencing decision making and action to enable positive and sustainable impact.
Building expertise and thought leadership
Building thematic areas under assessment that strengthen Sattva’s capabilities to deliver value to our clients.
Building, structuring and developing knowledge to share internally within the organisation and at the ecosystem level.
The Ideal Candidate:
We are looking for passionate individuals who align with our vision and have the following profile and core competencies:
9-12 years of professional experience (across corporate foundations / social impact space)
Minimum 5 years experience in monitoring and evaluation with corporate foundations is mandatory
Experience of working on multiple large projects and leading in a team environment is mandatory
Ability to work in a collaborative, dynamic and multidisciplinary environment as part of a closely-knit team (demonstrating patience, tenacity and poise under pressure)
Strong project management skills in managing complex, multifaceted projects, and client relationships
Outstanding communication skills with the ability to communicate complex ideas effectively
Agility and ability to adapt to and thrive in complex and ambiguous situations
Clause: Please note that the official hiring is contingent upon Sattva winning the client contract. The offer letter will be rolled out once the contract is signed.
