Position Overview

​

The District Officer & PMU position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to Bihar's renewable energy transformation while gaining hands-on experience in implementing solar energy projects. The officer will work on projects that aim to enhance renewable energy adoption while promoting sustainable development through CAPEX and RESCO models.

Key Responsibilities

​​

The selected intern will engage in the following areas:

Research and Analysis

Analyze district-level renewable energy potential and opportunities

Study current energy consumption patterns and identify intervention areas

Document best practices and assess integration possibilities

Field Work and Implementation

Conduct stakeholder consultations and awareness campaigns

Manage district-level operations and lead generation

Support implementation of solar energy projects

Organize capacity-building workshops and training programs

Project Support

Maintain comprehensive database of prospects

Prepare regular progress reports and documentation

Support post-installation assessments

Coordinate with local officials and institutions

Qualifications and Requirements

Educational Background

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or related field

Strong academic record with focus on renewable energy

Understanding of energy sector dynamics

Technical Knowledge

2+ years of experience in field operations and stakeholder engagement

Familiarity with solar energy technologies and applications

Understanding of project implementation and monitoring

Experience with data collection and analysis

Essential Qualities

Strong analytical and project management abilities

Excellent communication skills in English and Hindi

Ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders

Willingness to conduct extensive field visits

Understanding of Bihar's development context
