Position Overview
The Communications and Social Media Management Internship offers a unique opportunity to contribute to Bihar’s sustainable development initiatives by enhancing the Centre’s outreach and engagement. The intern will support content creation, social media management, and communications strategies to amplify the impact of the BODHI Centre’s work. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about digital storytelling, content marketing, and public engagement in sustainable development.
Key Responsibilities
The selected intern will engage in the following areas:
Content Creation and Social Media Management
Develop engaging content for the BODHI Centre’s social media platforms (LinkedIn, Instagram, Twitter, Facebook)
Create high-quality short-form video content for digital platforms
Design infographics, fact sheets, and other visual materials to enhance audience engagement
Monitor social media trends and suggest innovative approaches for increasing outreach
Communication and Outreach
Support the development of newsletters, blog posts, and press releases
Assist in maintaining and updating the organization’s website
Coordinate outreach efforts for stakeholder engagements and events
Develop communication materials for workshops, conferences, and campaigns
Research and Analysis
Conduct background research on relevant topics for content development
Analyze audience engagement metrics and suggest improvements based on data insights
Fact-check and verify data used in communication materials
Qualifications and Requirements
Educational Background
Graduate/Post-graduate student in Mass Communication, Journalism, Marketing, Public Relations, or related fields (currently enrolled or graduated)
Strong academic record with a focus on digital communication, social media, or public engagement
Technical Skills
Proficiency in creating compelling social media content tailored for LinkedIn, Instagram, and Twitter
Strong skills in video editing and graphic design tools (Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar software)
Exceptional English writing, editing, and proofreading abilities
Knowledge of website management and SEO best practices is a plus
