We serve as a knowledge partner to various stakeholders, providing comprehensive advisory services throughout project lifecycles.

Position Overview

​

The Climate Policy, Finance and Governance Internship program offers an opportunity to contribute to Bihar's sustainable development journey while gaining hands-on experience in climate action and policy implementation. The intern will work closely with our team on projects related to climate resilience, low-carbon development pathways, and sustainable growth initiatives in Bihar.

Key Responsibilities

​

The selected intern will engage in the following areas:

Policy Research and Analysis

Conduct research on climate policy frameworks, sustainable development initiatives, and governance mechanisms

Analyze state-level climate actions and their alignment with national and international commitments

Support the development of policy briefs and recommendations for key stakeholders

Assist in tracking and analyzing climate-related policies and programs in Bihar

Climate Finance

Support the conceptualization and development of climate finance strategies

Assist in analyzing public finance allocation patterns and private sector engagement opportunities

Research green financing mechanisms and their applicability to Bihar's context

Help identify and evaluate potential funding sources for climate initiatives

Project Support and Coordination

Assist in organizing stakeholder consultations and policy dialogues

Support the preparation of technical documents, presentations, and reports

Help coordinate with government departments and other stakeholders

Contribute to the development of monitoring and evaluation frameworks

Qualifications and Requirements

Educational Background

Graduate/post-graduate student in relevant fields (Environmental Policy, Economics, Public Policy, Climate Change, Sustainable Development, or related disciplines)

Strong academic record with demonstrated interest in climate action and sustainable development

Technical Skills

Proficiency in data analysis and research methodologies

Strong command of MS Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

Experience with policy analysis and report writing

Familiarity with climate finance concepts and mechanisms is desirable

Essential Qualities

Excellent analytical and writing abilities

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Proficiency in English and Hindi

Understanding of Bihar's developmental context

Demonstrated interest in climate action and sustainable development
