About the role
The District Program lead will strive to work towards a model district as a unit of change. As a District Program Lead, you will own mini-projects within the overall program. He/She will work closely with the team and the education department(DIETs/ DEOs/DPOs) and DM office to drive the education intervention. District Program Lead will also be actively engaged in designing and innovating the existing program design and implementation methods. You’ll be in the company of 1-2 such other leads whose projects together define the scope of the district education reforms program. While receiving requisite guidance and support from the program leadership, you’ll drive the mission of enabling the relevant stakeholders to lead continuous and sustainable improvements.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Assess and analyze existing government projects and devise plans to strengthen them. You would improve the learning cycles for every official by improving the feedback mechanism from the ground
- Leading and co-creating the journey of education change through programs with the district education department
- Develop a strategic plan aligned to the scope and focus of the projects.
- Create action plan to lead change efforts in districts using existing tools and programs
- Review existing structures and processes, and work with concerned officials to implement improvement projects
- Build strategic partnerships consisting of various organizations and stakeholders, including NGOs, Knowledge partners, Design Consultants, Govt. Agencies etc. and create a partner engagement framework to coordinate and monitor the efficacy
- Establish effective Monitoring and Evaluation processes
Experience and Competencies Required
- Strong alignment with the cause of reforming Govt. education system. Strong interest in empowering a school through system level interventions
- Minimum 3 years of work experience, preferably in working with Govt. stakeholders or in the education sector.
- Awareness of different state-level initiatives in Bihar towards education transformation.
- Experience in classroom teaching, delivering educational programs with BRC, DIETs, DEOs, DPOs, DM office is preferred.
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Education preferred.
- Excellent written, verbal, and telephonic communication skills

Remuneration: An annual CTC of INR 5 Lakhs onwards (depending on competency and experience)
