Term: 1 year from the date of appointment (This position is subject to renewal depending on performance
and funding).
Position Overview:
The Youth Engagement Officer will support the implementation of GOYN’s Youth Engagement Strategy in
Bhubaneswar and Cuttack by directly engaging with Opportunity Youth (ages 15–35), youth groups,
educational institutions, and community stakeholders. The role focuses on informal learning, leadership
development, and grassroots mobilization. The Coordinator will also assist in anchoring the Youth Advisory
Group (YAG) and Youth Innovation Fund (YIF), ensuring inclusive and meaningful youth participation across
the city.

Youth Engagement & Program Delivery
● Support the rollout of youth engagement activities including workshops, informal learning sessions,
and youth-led events.
● Mobilize youth from structurally excluded communities and facilitate their participation in GOYN
programs.
● Assist in designing and delivering sessions on leadership, goal-setting, and community action.
Youth Advisory Group (YAG) & Youth Innovation Fund (YIF)
● Coordinate logistics and communication for YAG meetings and activities.
● Support YAG members in co-creating youth-led strategies and feedback loops.
● Assist in outreach, proposal support, and tracking of youth-led projects under YIF.
Community Mapping & Outreach
● Identify and map youth groups, clubs, and institutions across Bhubaneswar and Cuttack.
● Build relationships with community leaders, parents, and local influencers to foster trust and
awareness.
● Organize and support youth engagement events at the community level.

Stakeholder Collaboration
● Liaise with NGOs, colleges, and youth-serving organizations to expand GOYN’s reach.
● Represent the youth engagement team in local meetings and community forums.
Documentation & Reporting
● Maintain accurate records of youth engagement activities and participant data.
● Document success stories, case studies, and learnings from YAG and YIF.
● Contribute to monthly reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
Qualifications & Experience:
● MSW/Master’s degree in Social Work, Youth Development, Education, or related field.
● 5–6 years of experience in youth engagement, community mobilization, or leadership programs.
● Fluency in Marathi, Hindi, and English is essential.
Skills & Competencies:
● Strong facilitation and interpersonal skills.
● Deep empathy and a youth-first mindset.
● Ability to work independently and in diverse community settings.
● Proficiency in MS Office, Google Suite, and basic digital tools.
● Willingness to travel extensively within Pune.
● Experience of implementing organisational administrative policies and procedures.
● Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Microsoft Teams, and Zoom.
Base Location: Bhubaneswar, with field travel across communities including cuttack, Odisha
