Your Future Team

We are a tight-knit team of six full-time members currently and a few dedicated volunteers (you can find us on Linkedin).

Each person in Sajhe got pulled in because of their love for learning and their need to grow with other women. Sajhe, just like any early-stage startup, is a chaotic and fast-paced environment. This year more than the last year - it is a year of BIG transitions for us.

Teamwork is our emotional and work support - we thrive because each one of us is obsessed with our own growth and so of Sajhe's students.

This growth and people-centric culture is our most valuable asset and alignment with it is non-negotiable.

If you are someone who shares our excitement for the problems we work on, in an environment we work in, do apply.
Founder’s Office Associate

Imagine yourself as the thinking and implementation partner of the chief executive.

You would be working closely with the CEO to provide comprehensive support to her. You would be involved in ideating and implementing everything she is involved in which includes but not limited to: hiring, organization building, generating state leads and nurturing high stake partnerships, managing a small team, ideating on various ways to communicate about our work to different stakeholders, occasional field visits, among others.

You would support to organise and execute her workload and create space for forward movement. It is a dynamic role and a high resilience position which requires a lot of patience as well as entrepreneurial drive to identify and create opportunities in uncharted government and private sector territories as well as building a lean organization that can deliver at scale. Because you’ll be responsible for high-stakes communications, the quality of work is expected to be high.

Some days will be full of clarity and breakthroughs. Others, full of ambiguity and figuring-it-out. Either way -  you’ll be at the centre of the action.

Our Win-Win Would be When

  • Patience with Drudgery of Coordination/Calendering: You’re steady and patient with repetitive tasks like scheduling, follow-ups, and coordinating across teams. You bring order to chaos without losing focus or calm.
  • Extremely Strong Work Ethic and Ability to Organise Information: You’re reliable, detail-oriented, and proactive. You keep information tidy and accessible, and you bring structure to messy systems without needing reminders.
  • Relationship Building & Communication: Your written and verbal communication is adept for both government as well as funders. Not scared of making decks. You are comfortable with a wide range of communication mediums - from social media to reports.
  • Structuring : You’re not afraid of scrappy spreadsheets, open-ended problems, or last-minute pivots. You are comfortable with juggling tasks in different contexts and able to make an organized plan of action for self and the executive.
  • Research : You have a high learning aptitude and googling/asking/research skills esp being able to navigate government reports and documents.
  • Ownership: Can listen sharply, act quickly. You are comfortable making your own checklist and proactively giving an update on it.
  • Self-Growth: We ensure your work aligns with your growth and learning.
  • Context: Knowledge of the nonprofit sector and social impact, experience working with rural communities or women empowerment organizations is a plus
  • Languages: Fluency in English both spoken and written
