REACH is a non-profit organisation dedicated to the fight against Tuberculosis (TB), with office in Chennai. Established in 1998-99, REACH is implementing multiple projects across India, with support from the Stop TB Partnership, HCL Foundation, HUL, AM Foundation and Azim Premji Foundation, among others. REACH worked over 25 states of the country.

As part of the NCD-TB Care Model Project supported by the Azim Premji Foundation, REACH is looking to recruit 4 Field Supervisors, who will be responsible for day-to-day screening and follow up of the intervention on TB, Diabetes & Hypertension at Thuraiyur block of Tiruchirappalli district. The ideal candidate will either have any Bachelor’s degree or 3 to 5 years experience in health/ community engagement initiatives. 

Specific responsibilities will include:

• Supervise and support Community Health Workers in day-to-day screening and follow-up
• Ensure supplies, registers, and IEC materials reach CHWs
• Support and guide community health workers with printed and digital data entry
• Compile data and prepare reports on the activities of community health workers
• Verify screening data and ensure quality and completeness
• Conduct random field visits and validate high-risk referrals
• Monitor follow-ups with people diagnosed with TB/Diabetes/Hypertension to improve treatment outcomes.
• Liaise with PHC staff, ASHAs, ANMs for field coordination
• Facilitate peer support group meetings or nutrition kit distribution
• Provide basic counseling and referral support to beneficiaries
• Provide supportive supervision to Community Health workers to ensure achievement of project deliverables.
• Submit field visit reports and flag challenges
• Documenting success stories and challenges
• Any other responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications, Experience and competencies required:

• Bachelor’s degree or 3 to 5 years experience in health/ community engagement
• Knowledge of TB and Non-Communicable diseases and the functioning in both the programmes preferred
• Analytical, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
• Prior experience of working in the district for which applications are invited
• Experience in field data verification and validation of field invoices preferred
• Ability to work closely with health officials
• Fluency in Tamil / Speaking of English is an asset
• Willingness to carry out a wide range of activities, including both professional and logistical tasks
• Willingness to travel extensively across the block / district
