Madhi’s TechForEdSystems (TFES) vertical will comprise of education and technology experts and data science specialists and will bring Tamil Nadu’s vision for a revolution in education governance driven by technology and data science to fruition. With no other state in India having put such sophisticated systems in place, this endeavour will serve as an exemplary pioneering effort in India and pave the way for Madhi’s foray into other states. The TFES team will build feature-rich mobile applications and dashboards for 4 groups of stakeholders viz., teachers, students, officials and parents. The data flows will be mapped intricately with seamless integration across all 4 user groups. For eg., when a student accesses the student app and attempts a quiz, the data will be captured and relayed on all 4 apps and linked to the unique student ID. The apps will be integrated with the State Education Management Information System (EMIS) making it an efficient and 2 Lead, IT sustainable design approach. Madhi will leverage the deep expertise of having built systemic reform in Tamil Nadu and leverage the applied insights from having co-built eight iterations, thus far, of TNVN to implement TFES
 

About the role:
 

We are seeking a highly skilled Junior Product Associate- Mobile Applications to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate should have a passion for mobile technology and product development, with a keen eye for detail and user experience. Strong communication and collaboration skills are essential, along with the ability to prioritise tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Previous experience in product development or related roles in the mobile app industry is preferred. A proactive attitude, creativity, and a willingness to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment are key attributes we are looking for in this role.
 

The Job Description
 

At Madhi, we are looking for a motivated Product Associate with 1-2 Years of experience with a focus on mobile applications. The ideal candidate will possess a solid technical skill set and a passion for building engaging and user-centric products. The role involves collaborating with the product manager, development teams, and other stakeholders to contribute to the entire product development lifecycle. The primary responsibilities will include managing two products- Enjoy English and Communities Enabling Foundational Learning (CEFL). Enjoy English is an oracy-forward language learning app facilitated through a digital classroom model for students in grade 1,2, and 3. CEFL is a community-building and management tool that would enable parents to connect, empower and share knowledge about foundational literacy and numeracy for children.
 

In this role, some of your responsibilities will include:
 

• Working closely with the product manager to build new product offerings for teachers, parents, and students.
   
• Driving initiatives to understand low-income users and shape features, content, and behavior change messaging for user love and product virality.
   
• Developing and driving key initiatives to improve engagement and learning outcomes on the platform.
   
• Partner with content and delivery teams to ensure seamless experience in uploading, managing and delivering classes
   
• Ideating and supporting the execution of new product features and iterations on existing features.
   
• Developing, tracking, and analysing user metrics and outcomes. 
   
• Driving partnerships and integrations with technologies that can enhance the product. 
   
• Supporting the execution of large-scale AB tests and experiments to determine changes to the product.
   

Requirements

Skillsets required for you to thrive in this role:
 

Mobile App Platforms:
 

Understanding of Android (Java, Kotlin) operating systems. Familiarity with mobile app development tools and frameworks like Android Studio (Android).
 

Basic Programming Knowledge:
 

- Fundamental knowledge of programming languages used in mobile app development, such as Swift, Objective-C, Java, or Kotlin.
 

- Ability to read and understand code to communicate effectively with development teams.
 

Mobile App Development Lifecycle:
 

Awarenessofthemobile app development lifecycle, including design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance phases.
 

UI/UX Design Principles:
 

- Basic understanding of user interface (UI) and user experience (UX) design principles specific to mobile applications.
 

- Familiarity with design tools such as Sketch, Adobe XD, or Figma for wireframing and prototyping.
 

Mobile Analytics and Testing:
 

- Knowledge of mobile analytics tools (e.g., Firebase Analytics, Google Analytics) for tracking user behavior and app performance.
 

- Understanding of mobile app testing methodologies, including manual and automated testing approaches.
 

- Awarenessoftechniques to optimize mobile app performance, including app size, speed, and battery usage.
 

API Integration:
 

Understanding of integrating APIs into mobile applications for functionalities like authentication, data retrieval, and third-party services.
 

Mobile Security Fundamentals:
 

Basic knowledge of mobile security principles and best practices to ensure app security and data protection.
 

Prerequisites include:
 

• Relevant academic background and 1-3 years of experience in mobile application development.
   
• Strong passion for mobile technology and product development.
   
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
   
• Ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
