Role Overview:

Coordinate with the Youth program team and other QUEST team members for efficient project implementation. Work to develop placement strategies, build capacity, and foster industry engagement for trainees in Gujarat.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with internal teams to create systemic change-centered placement strategies for ITIs and VTIs in Gujarat.
  • Maximize industry engagement and job opportunities for trainees.
  • Build the capacity of placement officers to plan and organize placement activities at partner institutes.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with industries and employers in Gujarat.
  • Understand industry skill requirements and analyze placement trends to create employment opportunities.
  • Develop comprehensive placement plans with internal teams and training partners.
  • Identify target industries and job roles, and create strategies to match trainees with suitable opportunities.
  • Provide support to trainees during the placement process (resume building, interview preparation, networking).
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of placement initiatives.
  • Track trainee placements, job retention, and employer feedback, implementing improvements as needed.
  • Build relationships with industry bodies, employers, and placement officers.
  • Network to create a robust employer database for program implementation partners.
  • Manage facilitators, interns, and program associates as relevant.
  • Plan necessary capacity-building activities for the team.
  • Set and review annual and quarterly goals for team members.
  • Serve as a role model and ensure adherence to HR policies.
  • Support team welfare in collaboration with the People team.
  • Timely submission of monthly and quarterly donor reports.
  • Consolidate placement and workshop reports for review meetings.
  • Ensure accurate data entry and report submission on time.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Sensitivity and awareness of gender inclusion in education and the workplace.
  • Proficiency in MS Office suite.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Passion for addressing youth education challenges in India.
  • Experience working in dynamic, multicultural environments with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to maintain high attention to detail while meeting deadlines.
  • Strong judgment, excellent English communication, and interpersonal skills.

Salary: The pay band for the position starts at Rs. 30,000/- per month (cost to company) (The salary offered will be commensurate with the experience and expertise of the candidate)
