About the role
 

We are looking for a Graphic Designer with 3-5 years of design experience to support our team in creating impactful design collaterals and driving engagement with our beneficiaries, donors and other stakeholders. This is an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the non-profit sector and make a difference by raising awareness of our cause.
 

Requirements

Key Responsibilities
 

Design support:
 

• Develop compelling designs for online mediums like social media, newsletters, emailers and websites.
   
• Develop print-rich designs for offline collaterals like flyers, booklets, brochures, standees, banners, merchandise etc.
   
• Design impact centric collaterals like annual reports, presentations, infographics etc.
   

Video support (preferrable):
 

• Basic handling of cameras for still and video outputs
   
• Creating GIFs, basic video montages/compilations, testimonials etc.
   

Brand Support:
 

• Creating designs as per understanding and adherence to the brand language, tone and style
   
• Ability to translate seasonal and annual campaigns into visually rich designs
   
• Ability to create and design set mood boards
   
• Create and enrich brand assets like logos, logo units, photos (retouching/editing), videos etc.
   

Stakeholder support:
 

• Work in close collaboration with internal functions like fundraising, HR, programmes, founder’s office while catering to their design needs
   
• Basic idea of vendor management including printers, gift vendors with an understanding of print materials, quality and timelines
   

Qualifications and Role Requirements: 
 

At Peepul, we seek talented professionals passionate about driving educational transformation and making a positive impact. We are looking for individuals who possess the following qualifications and meet the role requirements:
 

• Educational Background:  Graduate in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, Fine Arts, or a related field.
   
• Work Experience: We value both professional and personal experience. Candidates with 3-5 years’ experience in graphic design and video shoots/edits (is a plus) with brands and/or agencies. Relevant experience in content editing, post-production of digital content, and short films are preferred. Prior experience in the education field will be a bonus.
   
• Other Skills: Strong sense of layout, typography, and color theory & ability to simplify complex ideas into clear and engaging visuals. Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to listen well and positively represent the organization and its mission. Skills in design software, blogging software, social media platforms and editing content desired. A genuine interest in social causes with a motivation to make a difference.
   
• Technical Proficiency: Strong command of design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc.). Familiarity with motion design tools (After Effects, Premiere Pro) is a plus. Knowledge of Canva and other online design platforms is advantageous.
   
• Language Proficiency: English and Hindi
