About the role:
Content and Training Officer, play a crucial role in onboarding teachers, guiding them through our MasterCoach training program, and supporting their ongoing engagement. You will work closely with district facilitators to enhance teachers' skills, ensure best practices, and build a thriving community of educators. By coordinating training sessions, webinars, and WhatsApp engagements, you will directly impact the professional growth of teachers and ultimately, the learning outcomes for students in 1,075 schools across Odisha.
Role Description
Lead in development of cohort, on-boarding of teachers in the App and WhatsApp groups
Ensure timely submission of baseline form filled in by the teachers
Support in organising and facilitating the orientation of teachers for on-boarding in the Mastercoach for teachers course
Review the assignment being submitted by teachers on an on-going basis and suggest actions to the district facilitators.
Work closely with the district facilitators in designing the support and follow up strategy for the teachers to be able to complete the course
Support education specialists in organising and facilitating the fortnightly webinars
Ensure that the whatsApp strategy is being followed and teachers are being engaged
Identify champions from the WhatsApp groups and Webinars to lead to formation of community of practice
Hold the recognition strategy and ensure that the good practices are being share timely on various platforms
Support potential teachers for application to various awards in the state, national and international level
Support in translation of content as per the local language needs
Support in development of new content in order to contextualise the course
Hold the taskforce with members from QUEST & Partners in order to facilitate support for the teachers
Relationship management- students and internal team
Leading and Facilitating the process to build relationships between school and community.
Be the focal point for the HMs in the schools and keep them informed about the progress of work and plan along with them.
Facilitating the Process of Parents Engagement in respective schools
Creation of database for share out of IVRS messages to the Parent body
Conduct and participate in monthly/quarterly review meetings with program stakeholders
Reporting
Support M & E team to implement monitoring tools as per the project framework
Compile the field level report and data as per the framework
Document and share the best practices in the schools for publication in monthly and quarterly reports.
Provide regular written and verbal reports tracking progress against the work plan and implementation schedules
Support with the documentation of training/ meeting/ event reports
Support coordination of baseline/ endline and other assessments
Ensure data is updated in the database for their respective schools
Be available for regular line management meetings and the appraisal processes.
Required skills and Experience:
Minimum 2-3 years of work experience, in capacity building related roles
Hands-on experience with working on coding/ computational skills/ STEM and life and career skills for school students
Prior experience working in government schools
Prior experience of facilitating training and workshops for the govt. Teachers and officials at district/state level
Willingness to learn and influence prevalent practices in education ecosystem
Deep understanding of the National Education Policy and State Curriculum Framework
Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills in English and Odia (preferred)
Excellent IT skills
Willingness to travel extensively
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with other teams
Salary: The pay band for the position starts at Rs. 35,000/- per month (cost to company) (The salary offered will be commensurate with the experience and expertise of the candidate)
