Program details:
The project aims to implement a comprehensive strategy for the early detection and control of tuberculosis, leveraging innovative technologies, community engagement, and healthcare system strengthening in Gautam Buddha Nagar and Ghaziabad districts of Uttar Pradesh. The project will adopt community-based, active case-finding (ACF) strategies that can increase the diagnosis and treatment of tuberculosis, and potentially reduce tuberculosis transmission. The Project will be implemented in close collaboration with National Tuberculosis Elimination Program (NTEP) and aims at increasing accessibility of TB diagnosis and treatment services. The aim of the project will be to increase commitment and leverage collaboration from governments, civil society, private sector, TB partner organisations, state and district TB offices and other important stakeholders to accelerate progress in reaching the TB targets. The project will aim to strategize interventions to create awareness on TB, encourage health seeking behavior across the Continuum of TB Care (CoC), increase political and administrative commitment at different levels.
Purpose of the Position:
The role of this position will be to engage with Central TB division and devise campaigns and inspire key audiences that influence TB programing and the health system at central and state levels. The person will be instrumental in engaging with various stakeholders like government health agencies, civil society organizations, research and academic institutes, alliances working on TB, multilateral and bilateral agencies, policy makers etc. for raising awareness, influencing for policy level changes and to enhance execution of programs focused on TB prevention, treatment, and control.
Role & Responsibilities:
• Build and maintain partnerships with key stakeholders including government bodies, civil society organizations, research and academic institutes, alliances working on TB, multilateral and bilateral agencies, global agencies, policy makers, school, colleges etc.
• Develop and run both offline and digital campaigns to increase awareness and influence policies on TB.
• Develop resource materials and disseminate information about TB
• Represent the organization at national and international conferences, meetings, and forums focused on TB.
• Research and be aware with national TB trends and best practices to guide advocacy strategies.
• Ability to analyse data and evidence to influence policy decisions and improve the effectiveness of TB-related interventions.
• Organize National Consultations to raise awareness and build support for TB elimination efforts involving all important stakeholders
• Work with Finance and HR department in coordination and with policy and procedure of PSI.
• Any other work as required or requested.
Qualification & Experience:
• Post-Graduate degree in business management, social sciences, public health or related fie
• Having 5-8 years plus experience in areas of advocacy, health campaigning, or networking programs
• Strong networking skills to build relationships with key stakeholders and the ability to advocate effectively for TB-related issues
