Job Summary

 

The Assistant Manager - Human Resources will hold a second in-charge position in the HR Division. The incumbent will be responsible for supporting the HR functions including, but not limited to, recruitment, induction, performance management, employee engagement, employee benefits MIS and employee separation process. The incumbent will take care of the HR Operations, draft and record HR documentation and will ensure timely, accurate and high-quality output. They will also be responsible for maintaining the HR information systems (currently MS Office based) and assist the HR Lead in strengthening the HR policies and processes. 

They should be a pro-active professional who would guide the team, wherever needed, as per the company’s policies and procedures, code of conduct and house rules as detailed out in LHEM. They should keep themselves abreast of all the HR/labour compliances, statutory acts & laws and will ensure that the organization follows all necessary labour compliances. They should be aware of standard Compensation and Benefits structure, industry-wide C&B benchmarking, cost of living index etc. This work-from-office position is based at New Delhi/NCR and will report to the HR Lead. 

 

Responsibilities

  • Recruitment – Ensure job postings on various job portals, initial screening of applications, collate applicant information and manage interview logistics in co-ordination with the hiring managers, line-up the candidates, conduct preliminary HR assessment, obtain candidate’s salary documentation well in time, negotiate salary offers, issue Offer Letter. Co-facilitate end-to-end recruitment cycle.
  • Reference Checks – Perform candidate reference checks from relevant stakeholders within stipulated time frame, before the offer is released.
  • HR Documentation – Prepare the hiring memos for each position and get it approved by all relevant stakeholders. Ensure completion of all hiring records like interview evaluation form, consolidated rating sheet, updation of Job Description. This process should be completed diligently for each position closed.
  • On-Boarding Process – Ensure a comprehensive induction process for all new joinees including induction presentation, updating the On-Boarding deck, ensuring smooth and effective completion of on-boarding process, conducting employee feedback exercise, 30-60-90 days review and analysing results for process strengthening.
  • Employee Engagement – Support the HR Lead in implementing the employee engagement plan and activity roll out and implementation. Draft the monthly engagement calendar along with HR Lead and
  •           ensure implementation of each activity.
  • Performance Management – Support HR Lead in implementing the PMS process and Annual Goal Setting activity and guide the staff during and after the process, whenever required. 
  • Off-Boarding Process – Ensure smooth and cordial exit process for staff including clearances, experience letter, compliances, full and final settlement coordination, personnel file closure, organizing farewell meets etc.
  • HR Information Management – Update and maintain the HR master database (currently on MS Office) and process trackers on a regular basis. Generate MIS reports as required.
  • Process Improvement – Propose process improvement in Human Resource function for better output.
  • Training & Development – Maintain a training calendar for internal/external training sessions.
  • Coordinating with relevant stakeholders for training plan, collating modules and other training logistics.
  • Surveys and Benchmarking Analysis – Participate/lead the employee satisfaction survey, compensation benchmarking survey and ensure 100% compliance, as and when scheduled.
  • Labour Laws & Compliances – Should be abreast of the latest labour laws/ amendments and keep the organization informed and 100% compliant to any statutory activity.
  • HR Audits – Responsible for carrying out the HR audits of the personnel files, employee records, leave records, attendance records, hiring process etc. and remain 100% compliant with the legal and organizational processes.
  • Support in Policy Reviews and System Strengthening – Support the HR Lead in policy structuring, framing and review of existing policies to develop them as per the need of the hour. They should proactively participate in identifying prospective challenges pertaining to HR and propose possible solutions to mitigate them to the supervisor. They should be able to plan and propose innovative programmes, methods and activities which would aid in system strengthening. 

Qualifications and Skills

 

JSIPL seeks a results-oriented individual with the ability to produce high quality deliverables, managing multiple concurrent tasks, and meet tight deadlines with attention to detail. The successful candidate is required to have:

  • Degree/Diploma in Business Administration/ Management with specialization in Human Resources.
  • 6-8 years of experience in HR functions including recruitments, induction, documentation, and other HR Operations.
  • Advance MS Excel and MS Word skills with knowledge of google documents and spreadsheets.
  • Strong written and oral communications skills and ability to make high quality presentations.
  • Strong initiative and self-motivation required, with a commitment to teamwork 
  • Strong documentation skills with a sharp eye to details
  • Should be able to initiate, design and implement the system strengthening initiatives
  • Should have an ability to build a healthy level of employee connect
  • Should be able to resolve employee’s query with the purview of organizational norms and LHEM policies.
