Society for Participatory Integrated Development (SPID) was founded in 2004 with a powerful question: "What if those most excluded were the ones shaping the solutions?" Guided by this belief, SPID is a grassroots non-profit organization working across urban and rural areas of Delhi, Haryana, and Uttar Pradesh. The organization is committed to empowering socially and economically marginalized communities—especially women, children, youth, and domestic workers—by promoting access to dignity, safety, and opportunity.
SPID works hand-in-hand with communities through an integrated and participatory approach, focusing on key areas such as education, child protection, women’s empowerment, and livelihood development. The organization runs a variety of impactful programs including open shelters for children, women’s helplines and counselling centres, skill development training for youth (SMART), rights awareness campaigns for domestic workers, and grassroots women's forums (Mahila Panchayats).
Over the years, SPID has become a trusted development partner, building change from the ground up and creating inclusive futures where every individual has the right to live with dignity and self-reliance.
