The United Nations Office for Project Services (UNOPS) is the central entity of the United Nations Organization (UN) with a mandate for project management, infrastructure and public procurement. It is a self-financing organization of the United Nations, created by decision no. 48/501 of the UN General Assembly of September 19, 1994. The Office offers, among others, management and operational support services, in an impartial, efficient and non-profit manner, for the benefit of the Member States of the United Nations and supports governments (federal, state and municipal levels), others. UN agencies, financial institutions such as the World Bank, non-governmental organizations, among others.
UNOPS supports local and national governments in maximizing the efficiency of public investment, promoting transparency, combating corruption and adapting to each country the best practices available worldwide to strengthen the capacities of governments in their mandate areas.
With more than 8,000 staff supported by 80 countries, UNOPS offers its partners the logistical, technical and management expertise they need, where they need it. By implementing nearly 3,000 projects for our partners, UNOPS makes significant contributions to outcomes in these regions, often in the most challenging environments.
In Latin America and the Caribbean, UNOPS adapts its approach to the local context, providing a wide range of strategic solutions to enhance the efforts of member countries in achieving the 2030 Agenda. In addition to regular activities, UNOPS works to preserve and valorize natural, cultural and human resources and reduce disparities and inequalities.
In Brazil, UNOPS has been working since 2012 with other UN agencies, international financial organizations and federal, state and municipal governments. From now on, the Desk is in charge of technical assessment (and aquisitions) in the areas of health, education, socio-education, PPPs and Concessions, institutional strengthening, among others. Education/Experience/Language requirements
Education:
It is necessary to conclude or enter.
University diploma in Accounting, Finance, Project Management, Public Administration or other relevant field will be considered a differential and may substitute some years of relevant experience.
It is necessary to have specialization and/or certification in Project Management.
Work experience:
Minimum of 6 years of progressive experience in project management areas, with public, private or international entities.
Minimum of 4 years of experience in financial management, cash flow and financial reports.
It is necessary to have experience in team management
It is necessary to have experience in preparing project reports.
Experience in tax aspects is considered a differential.
Experience in the use of project management tools is a differential.
Knowledge of the rules and procedures of the UN and UNOPS in particular is a differential.
Experience in social organizations is a differential.

Education:
A complete secondary education qualification is required.
