The Self-Employed Women’s Association (SEWA) is the largest Central Trade Union of women workers in India’s informal economy, with 3.2 million members across 18 states. We are seeking a passionate and proactive Programme Coordinator to join our dynamic team and make a real difference in the lives of women workers.
đź’Ľ Role Overview
As Programme Coordinator, you will lead initiatives that address the key challenges faced by women in the informal economy. Your work will include social dialogue, community engagement, policy advocacy, and strategic program execution.
🔑 Key Responsibilities
• Lead policy interventions and liaise with government authorities to advocate for women workers’ rights.
• Facilitate social dialogues and strengthen networks with stakeholders at local and national levels.
• Develop and manage program plans, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and deliverables.
• Draft policy briefs, comprehensive reports, and evaluations on program impact.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external partners for seamless program implementation and communication.
📌 What We’re Looking For
• A degree in Social Work (MSW/MLW) or Law (with a preference for Labour Law).
• 2–3 years of relevant experience in program management and policy advocacy.
• A strong interest or background in development, labour rights, or the informal sector.
• Proficiency in Gujarati, Hindi, and English (written and spoken).
• Willingness to travel across India.
