Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking Punjabi (Gurumukhi script) is essential.
Position Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and creative Media Associate to join our Behaviour Change Team.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for translating our existing behaviour change
campaigns into Punjabi and developing new, engaging content that resonates with our
target audience. The candidate should have the ability to record high-quality voiceovers in
Punjabi, create demo videos using a mobile phone, and leverage AI platforms like Eleven
Labs and Midjourney to enhance production quality.
Proficiency in Gurumukhi script for reading, writing, and spoken Punjabi is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Content Creation and Translation:
● Translate existing behaviour change campaigns into Punjabi, ensuring cultural
relevance and linguistic accuracy.
● Write and ideate new campaigns tailored to the needs and preferences of the target
audience in Punjab.
2. Voiceovers and Video Production:
● Record high-quality voiceovers in Punjabi for various campaign materials.
● Create demo videos using a mobile phone, maintaining professional quality
standards.
3. AI Integration:
● Learn and utilize AI platforms like Eleven Labs and Midjourney to support and
enhance content production.
4. Engagement and Impact:
● Develop content that is compelling and impactful, resonating with the target
audience.
● Ensure content is relatable and easily understood by understanding the needs of
the audience.
5. Visual Design:
● Design visually appealing posters and other visual content that complement and
enhance the campaign's impact.
● Use design tools like Canva or Adobe Express to create impactful visual materials.
6. Collaboration and Strategy:
● Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and consistency in
messaging and campaign objectives.
● Research to gather insights and inform content development and campaign
strategies.
7. Continuous Improvement:
● Continuously evaluate and optimize campaign effectiveness based on user
engagement and behaviour change.
● Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in content creation and
behavioural change campaigns.
8. Documentation and Organization:
● Maintain proper documentation and organization of all content and collateral
produced.
Requirements:
1. Bachelor's degree in communications, journalism, marketing, or a related field.
2. Proven experience in content creation, preferably targeting low-income
communities or rural areas.
3. Exceptional writing skills with the ability to simplify complex concepts for a diverse
audience.
4. Strong visual design skills to create impactful posters and other visual content.
5. Proficient in using design software and content creation tools like Canva or Adobe
Express.
6. Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment with cross-functional
teams.
7. Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to meet
deadlines.
8. Empathy, cultural sensitivity, and a genuine passion for making a positive impact in
the lives of children and parents from low-income backgrounds.
9. Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking Punjabi (Gurumukhi script) is essential.
