WHERE DOES THIS ROLE FIT IN BIG PICTURE?
As Manager – Finance, you will play a central role in strengthening Medha’s financial systems and processes. You’ll lead core financial operations, ensure compliance, manage donor reporting, and contribute to audit readiness. This position requires both hands-on financial management and strategic coordination across teams.
WHAT WOULD YOU BE RESPONSIBLE FOR?
Accounting & Bookkeeping - Oversee daily transactions in Tally, ensure complete documentation, and manage bills, invoices, reimbursements, and work orders in compliance with policy.
Payments & Payroll - Ensure timely vendor and staff payments, process payroll with statutory deductions, and align disbursements with project budgets and grant terms.
Budgeting & Financial Planning - Support project and organizational budgeting, track fund utilization, and provide input on financial forecasts and cost control.
Financial & Donor Reporting - Prepare periodic financial reports and cash flows, track budget vs. actuals, and manage donor compliance documentation and reconciliations.
Reconciliations & Statutory Compliance - Lead monthly bank reconciliations, manage accounts payable/receivable, and ensure compliance with TDS, EPF, and Income Tax filings.
Audit Support & Governance - Maintain audit-ready records, support statutory, donor, and internal audits, and contribute to annual financial statements.
Process Improvement & Coordination - Resolve finance queries, verify vouchers, and contribute to process improvements across financial workflows.
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
Bachelor’s (Master’s preferred) in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, or related field.
3–5 years of finance/accounting experience, preferably in the non-profit/development sector.
Proficiency in Tally & Excel, strong financial accuracy, knowledge of statutory compliance (TDS, EPF, IT), and donor reporting.
Organized, detail-focused, solution-oriented, and able to work independently while collaborating across teams.
