Are you a strategic thinker with a passion for storytelling and rural development? Join Watershed Organisation Trust (WOTR) as our Senior Fundraising Officer (Proposal Writer)!

What you’ll do:
Lead the creation of compelling grant proposals, pitch decks, and concept notes
Collaborate with fundraisers, program directors, and field teams to craft powerful, data-driven narratives
Mentor a junior writer and contribute to fundraising strategy
Translate field realities and project strategies into impactful stories that resonate with donors
Track funding opportunities and stay updated on sector trends

We’re looking for:
2–4 years’ experience in proposal/content/grant writing or research
Bachelor’s/Master’s in English, Journalism, Communications, Economics, or related field
Exceptional writing, reporting, and visual communication skills (Canva proficiency a plus!)
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, and Google Suite.
Willingness to travel atleast once in 2 months
An interest in national and international business affairs with an ability to understand the business dynamics to tap funding opportunities
Strong time management, collaboration, and independent work skills
Passion for rural development and uplifting vulnerable communities
