We welcome applications from candidates who meet the following minimum eligibility criteria:
Applicants with a graduate degree and prior research or publication experience in energy transition or climate change are encouraged to apply.
Early-stage PhD researchers with relevant academic focus and journalism experience may also be considered.
Journalists working with any medium, print, television, radio, or digital based in India are eligible.
Applicants from journalism must have a minimum of five years of professional journalism experience. Internship experience will not be counted.
Journalists should be currently employed full-time as a journalist in India. Freelancers may apply if journalism is your primary source of income.
You must be proficient in spoken and written English or Hindi. Journalists working primarily in Bengali, Marathi, Telugu or Tamil may also apply, provided they have working knowledge of either English or Hindi.
A written confirmation is required from your employer allowing participation in the fellowship and agreeing to publish the final output on their respective platforms. Freelancers must obtain a letter from an editor confirming intent to publish the fellowship story.
