Edit research papers, reports, books, and articles across a range of themes including social development, culture, sustainability, gender and public health policy.
Review manuscripts for clarity, structure, coherence, academic rigour, and consistency of style.
Ensure grammatical accuracy, quality proofreading, and adherence to referencing formats.
Provide detailed feedback on content improvement—suggest edits to enhance argumentation, flow, and scholarly tone.
Support the team in preparing manuscripts for submission to journals, publishers, or conferences.
Coordinate with authors and researchers to maintain high editorial standards and meet deadlines.
Eligibility Criteria:
Education: Postgraduate degree in English, Development Studies, Social Sciences, Journalism, or related fields. Preference will be given to candidates with research or publication experience.
Experience: Minimum 15 years of experience in editing academic and policy-related texts. Demonstrated expertise in editing research-based content for reputed institutions or publishers.
Skills:
Strong command of written English and academic writing conventions.
Familiarity with editing citation-heavy texts and applying referencing styles.
Ability to review content critically and provide constructive feedback.
Eye for detail, excellent time management, and capacity to work independently.
