Term: 1 year from the date of appointment
Position Overview:
The Community Development Coordinator will play a pivotal role in identifying, mapping, and mobilizing
low-income communities across Pune district, with a focus on PMC and PCMC areas. This individual will
build a comprehensive ecosystem map of local stakeholders including NGOs, educational institutions, ITIs,

community leaders, and elected representatives and drive outreach and engagement efforts to connect
youth with skilling and livelihood opportunities. The role requires strong field presence,
relationship-building skills, and close coordination with the Career Pathway Coordinator and Placement
Manager to ensure seamless implementation of GOYN’s programs on the ground.
Key Responsibilities
Community Mapping & Stakeholder Identification
● Identify and map low-income communities across PMC and PCMC regions.
● Build a live database of local NGOs, colleges, ITIs, youth-led initiatives, community champions, ward
members, MLAs, and other key influencers.
● Maintain updated profiles of each community and stakeholder for targeted outreach and
collaboration.
Outreach & Mobilization
● Conduct door-to-door and group outreach to engage youth and community members.
● Mobilize participants for events, workshops, and sessions organized under the GOYN initiative.
● Build trust and sustained relationships with community stakeholders to ensure long-term
engagement.
Youth Leader Identification & Development
● Identify potential youth leaders within mapped communities who demonstrate initiative, empathy,
and influence.
● Engage and mentor these youth to take on leadership roles in mobilization, peer learning, and
community representation.
● Facilitate their participation in GOYN’s youth advisory forums and leadership development
opportunities.
Youth Screening & Follow-up
● Screen youth for skilling programs based on interest, eligibility, and location.
● Follow up with placed youth to collect retention data, placement proof, and feedback.
● Maintain accurate records of youth engagement and progress.

Coordination & Implementation

● Collaborate with the Career Pathway Coordinator and Placement Manager to align field activities
with program goals.
● Provide regular ground-level insights to inform strategy and improve delivery.
● Support logistics and coordination for community-based events and sessions.
Qualifications & Experience:
➢ Master’s degree in Social Sciences, Social Work, or Business Administration.
➢ Minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience in community engagement, youth development, or
grassroots mobilization.
Skills & Competencies:
➢ Strong communication skills in Marathi, Hindi, and English.
➢ Deep understanding of Pune’s urban low-income communities.
➢ Ability to build trust with youth, families, and local leaders.
➢ Organized, self-driven, and comfortable with extensive fieldwork.
➢ Proficiency in MS Office, Google Maps/Earth, and basic data tools.
Base Location: Pune (field-based, across PMC & PCMC)
