Community Empowerment Program: Empowering the parents and communities to become activestakeholders in their children’s learning journey We are currently present in six states of India- Maharashtra, Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh, Tripura,Uttarakhand, and Arunachal Pradesh. Sterlite EdIndia Foundation (EdIndia) is expanding its management team and is seeking to recruit an Chief Manager – Academic Content & Digital Learning. The proposed role will work at Mumbai and will be reporting to the Head of the Foundation. It is a full-time long-term role with probation for an initial period of 6 months. S/he will be responsible for all ensuring all the resources required in the digital learning platform “Teachable” for teacher education as per National Professional Standards for Teachers (NPST). Responsibilities: Academic Content Strategy & Development • Develop and strategize the academic content roadmap for online learning (Teachable App) in alignment with national frameworks • Conduct stakeholder analysis to enhance content relevance. • Ensure content is research-based, competency-driven, and engaging for pre-service and inservice teachers. Content Development & Management • Supervise and work closely with academic coordinators to create and curate storyboards, courses, webinars, mock tests, teaching ideas, and competency-based worksheets, etc • Lead content quality assurance through regular review cycles, ensuring pedagogical accuracy and effectiveness. • Enrich the content repository by collaborating with external content creators and educational organizations. • Initiate interactive quizzes, competitions, etc discussion forums for Pre-service student teachers and in-service teacher engagement (both online and offline). • Ensure continuous updates to reflect evolving teaching practices and faculty feedback. Leadership & Team Management: • Provide mentorship and guidance to the academic team to ensure high-quality content development. • Conduct capacity-building sessions and workshops for the team on instructional design, digital pedagogy, and competency-based learning approaches. • Establish and monitor quality assurance processes for academic content, ensuring adherence to learning objectives and assessment standards. • Foster a culture of continuous learning and innovation within the team. Stakeholder Management – Internal • Collaborate closely with program leads, vertical heads, and project partners to ensure seamless integration of academic content into training programs. • Work with the Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) team to operationalize robust content effectiveness assessments and measure impact. • Support faculty and teacher educators in effectively utilizing digital content and resources. • Conduct regular visits to project sites, institutions, and DIETs to gather feedback, understand academic needs, and refine content strategies. Essential Qualifications and Experience : • Master’s degree (mandatory) in Education, Curriculum Development, Instructional Design, Teacher Development, or a related field. • 7-10 years of experience in: • Content/curriculum development, instructional design, and teacher training. • Developing MOOC courses and digital learning resources. • School education sector experience, preferably with government systems. • Strong understanding of competency-based learning, national education policies, and teacher education frameworks. • Exposure to leveraging technology in educational interventions. Desirable Qualifications and Experience : • Experience of teaching at the school level • Exposure and experience of working in pre-service teacher education. • Professional teaching diploma or degree: D.El.Ed. or B.Ed. or M.Ed. or MA in education Knowledge, Skills & Capabilities: Academic & Pedagogical Expertise • Deep understanding of learning theories, teacher education, competency-based learning, and assessment models. • Understanding of effective teaching methods Digital Learning & Instructional Design • Familiarity with MOOC platforms, e-learning tools, and EdTech solutions • Ability to design interactive, engaging, and high-impact digital courses • Experience in developing digital learning experiences for teachers. Team & Stakeholder Management • Strong ability to mentor, guide, and manage a diverse academic team • Capacity to collaborate with internal like teacher educators, and content partners. Communication & Leadership • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Hindi. Working knowledge of other regional language would be helpful. • Strong presentation skills and the ability to work with Microsoft Excel & Google Suite. • Passion for systemic education reform and belief in the potential of public sector education. Problem-Solving & Adaptability • Ability to take initiative, navigate challenges, and adapt to evolving responsibilities. • Capacity to work in an autonomous, semi-structured environment with a growth mindset.
