Position Summary : The Business & Marketing Associate is responsible for developing and implementing effective marketing strategies to enhance the visibility and sales of cluster-based handloom products. The role involves creating market linkages, building brand identity, and collaborating with artisans to promote traditional crafts with contemporary appeal. The personnel will work closely with stakeholders to ensure successful business outcomes and sustainable livelihoods.

Employment Type: FTE (Fixed Term Employee)
Remuneration: INR 40,000 PM to 50,000 PM (Including PF, Medical Health Insurance, Gratuity etc.) based on experience.
Brief Job Description :
1. Marketing Strategy Development:
• Design and implement marketing strategies to boost the visibility and reach of handloom products.
• Identify market trends and consumer preferences to guide product development.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to develop innovative branding and promotional campaigns.
2. Market Linkages and Branding:
• Build and maintain strong market linkages with retail outlets, designers, and e-commerce platforms.
• Develop brand identity elements, including logos, packaging, and promotional content, that reflect the cluster’s heritage
3. Training and Capacity Building:
• Organize training sessions for artisans to develop marketing and branding skills.
• Educate artisans on market trends and product quality standards.
4. Event Planning and Coordination:
• Plan and execute exhibitions, craft fairs, and promotional events to maximize artisan visibility.
• Coordinate with artisans and teams for product launches and buyer-seller meetings.
5. Monitoring and Reporting:
• Monitor the performance of marketing initiatives and prepare periodic reports on sales and market outreach.
• Conduct market research and document best practices to support data-driven decision-making.
6. Collaboration and Networking:
• Build networks with buyers, designers, and industry experts to facilitate market linkages.
• Partner with NGOs and private entities for collaborative business opportunities.
7. Documentation and Reporting:
• Maintain records of marketing activities, cluster dynamics, and artisan engagement.
• Generate reports on the effectiveness of business strategies and market penetration.
8. Collaboration and Networking:
• Collaborate with expert designers, NGOs, private entities, domain experts to refine and enhance the quality, usability, and aesthetics of products. Ensure design prototypes align with the cluster’s unique identity, materials, and techniques. Engage with buyers, designers, and retail outlets to create market linkages for artisans.
9. Perform other duties as required to align with organizational priorities or donor requirements.
Key Deliverables:
· Develop and implement comprehensive marketing strategies for cluster-based handloom products.
· Successfully execute promotional campaigns, exhibitions, and marketing events.
· Build and sustain strong market linkages for product promotion and sales.
· Train artisans in branding, market readiness, and product presentation.
· Monitor and report on the impact of marketing efforts on artisan livelihoods.

Experience & & Qualifications
· Education: Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Rural Development, or related field.
· Experience: 2-3 years of experience in business development, marketing, or the handloom sector.
· Knowledge: Familiarity with traditional weaving techniques and contemporary marketing practices.
