Block Coordinator - Localizing SDGs

Location: Raigad district, Maharashtra.

Salary: Up to INR 30,000/-, based on skillsets, experience.

Requirements:

• Qualification: Post graduate degree in Social Sciences, or similar relevant fields.
• Work experience: Work experience of 2-3 years. Prior experience of working related to community forest recognition areas, community mobilisation, documentation with good writing skills.
• Computer Literacy: Proficient in using MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and internet-based communication tools.
• Proficient in writing English and speaking Marathi language
• An effective public speaker, who facilitates communication and sessions with the communities, government stakeholders etc.
• Problem solving attitude, willingness to learn, travel for exposure visits and communicate freely.
• Candidates must be willing to work passionately, in a mission mode environment.

Responsibilities:

1. Village Mobilization: Engage with the communities residing in Raigad district.
2. Training and Capacity Building: The Block Coordinator should have skills of a trainer. She/He/They is required to conduct training sessions and capacity-building workshops for the community and local administration.
3. Data Collection: Collecting relevant data from the villagers that are required for the project activities.
4. Documentation: Documenting the records, data, reports etc. for future reference. Identifying stories from the fields. Capturing good videos, photographs.
5. Coordination & Communication: Act as a liaison between the community, local administration, and other relevant stakeholders to facilitate smooth communication, collaboration, and coordination.
6. Daily Reporting: Provide regular updates to the team, in order to progress collectively and move ahead solving the problems.
